The Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is a globally recognized qualification in financial reporting, management accounting, financial management, and strategic decision-making.
Awarded by the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), the US CMA qualification is recognized and respected worldwide. The IMA operates in 150 countries and oversees academic research and CMA exams.
With offices in key cities like Zurich, Amsterdam, Dubai, Mumbai, Cairo, and Singapore, the IMA supports approximately 140,000 members and over 350 professional and student chapters globally as of September 2022.

The US CMA syllabus is divided into two parts. To qualify as a US CMA you will have to clear exam for Part 1 and Part 2. The Exam is a computerized paper with two levels:
A weighted average score is calculated for the MCQ and Essay sections. The MCQs hold 75% weightage while the Essays hold 25%. The result to the examination is declared after 45 days of you appearing for the exam. The total weightage of the exam is 500 marks with 360 being the passing threshold.
Clearing Level 1 and entering into Level 2 is not assurance of passing, however if you are unable to break into Level 2 – it signifies immediate failure.
