The eligibility criteria for the CA Foundation Course are as follows:
Class 12th Examination: Students who have passed the Class 12th examination from a recognized board are eligible to register for the CA Foundation Course.
Registration: Candidates can register for the CA Foundation Course after appearing in the Class 12th examination or while pursuing the 12th standard.
Validity of Registration: The CA Foundation Course registration is valid for three years from the date of registration. If the registration expires, it can be revalidated for another three years by paying a revalidation fee.
Documents: Students need to submit necessary documents such as Class 12th mark sheet, proof of birth, and other required details during the registration process.
Examination: After completing four months of study, candidates are eligible to appear for the CA Foundation examination, which is held twice a year in May and November.
Direct Entry: Graduates or postgraduates with specified percentages in their degrees can directly enter the CA Intermediate course and are exempt from the CA Foundation Course.
Exemption for Graduates/Postgraduates: Graduates or postgraduates with specified percentages in their degrees are exempt from appearing in the CA Foundation examination. They can directly register for the CA Intermediate course.
Accounting (100 Marks): Fundamentals of financial accounting, including recording, summarizing, and interpreting financial transactions.
Business Laws (100 Marks): Introduction to basic legal concepts and principles relevant to business transactions and operations.
Quantitative Aptitude (100 Marks): Developing mathematical and statistical skills essential for solving business problems and making informed decisions.
Business Economics (100 Marks): Understanding economic concepts and their application in business decision-making and planning.
The CA Foundation exam is held twice a year, in May and November.
The subjects include Principles and Practice of Accounting, Business Laws and Business Correspondence and Reporting, Business Mathematics and Logical Reasoning & Statistics, and Business Economics and Business and Commercial Knowledge.
