ICAI has not yet published the paper-wise May 2027 schedule. The registration cut-off below is fixed by ICAI's four-month study-period rule; the other dates are expected windows based on recent attempts. We update this table as soon as ICAI notifies.

How to register for CA Foundation May 2027
Who can register
Students who have passed Class 10 can register provisionally. Students appearing for or who have passed Class 12 can register directly. You can sit the May 2027 exam only after you pass Class 12.
If you are writing Class 12 boards in February–March 2027, register by 1 January 2027 and confirm ICAI's current exam-form conditions for students whose Class 12 result is still awaited.
Registration fee is about ₹9,000 for Indian students; the exam fee is paid separately with the exam form. Registration stays valid for four years.

CA Foundation May 2027 syllabus and exam pattern
May 2027 follows the ICAI New Scheme. Four papers, 400 marks in total: two written papers and two objective papers.

What is the last date to register for CA Foundation May 2027?
1 January 2027. ICAI requires four months of registration before the first day of the exam month, so registering after 1 January moves your first attempt to September 2027.
I am in Class 12 now. Can I target CA Foundation May 2027?
Register by 1 January 2027 while you are in Class 12. ICAI sets specific conditions for students whose Class 12 result is still pending at exam time, so check the May 2027 exam notification before filling the exam form, or ask our counsellors.
When will ICAI announce the May 2027 exam dates?
ICAI usually announces the schedule several months in advance. This page is updated as soon as the official notification is released.
Is there negative marking in CA Foundation?
Yes, in the two objective papers (Quantitative Aptitude and Business Economics): 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer. Accounting and Business Laws are written papers with no negative marking.
How many CA Foundation attempts are there in a year?
Three: January, May and September. If you miss the May 2027 registration deadline, the next attempt is September 2027.
